Spam definition
Email from a company or charity that is unsolicited and sent to many people at one time, usually for advertising purposes. Also known as junk email. Spam not only clogs up your inbox with annoying, unwanted messages, but also creates a time cost to you in deleting them. If the problem is particularly bad there are also increased download costs. Spam can often contain viruses, worms and trojans.
